Church's Fosbury loafers

Who would missed Mrporter's bi-annual sale? Definitely not me at least. This is of one the items which i purchased and it is a pair of loafers from Church's in khaki colour. Placed my order on monday and it arrived on thursday.

Original price was £290 and i got it for 50% off. I saw this exact same pair going for HKD2700 after a 40% discount in Hong Kong. Even at this discounted price in Hong Kong, it could only match the retail price in UK. Imagine how much i had saved. Now we know how high the markups are in Asia.

The workmanship of the loafers is excellent and the shape is just perfect! I am already thinking of getting another pair in navy.

Outlier Three Way Shorts

When the whole world is raving about Orlebar Brown tailored designer swinshorts, i decided to give Outlier version a try.

Why do i pick Outlier over Orlebar Brown?

Most importantly for me, Outlier uses the normal button and hole while Brown uses snap buttons. This helps to hold the shorts up while doing rigorous activity. Snap buttons will simply snap open. Furthermore, Outlier has the drawstrings on for better security.

Also, Outlier has belt loops and you can wear a belt with it if you are not at the beach. For this, you can pass it off as normal pair of shorts and not swimshorts.

Fabric-wise, it is water, dirt and stain resistant. It dries fast like what a swimshorts should be and it is made in Switzerland.

But of course, Orlebar Brown has it good points too. They have fancier looking fabrics and the zippers are nicer.

First post, first purchase of 2012

Dolce & Gabbana has always been my first choice when it comes to dressing up for work or dinner. Of course, i don't always wear their stuff all the time. I have been on a lookout for a slimmer belt, width of 3cm or smaller, when i grew tired of wearing wider ones. I do know that to look good with dress pants, i have to wear a slimmer belt.

Quay Eyewear

If you want a pair of cool and quirky sunglasses, don't bother searching for one from the major fashion houses because there isn't any. I almost gave up until i saw this pair Quay sunglasses at ASOS. Retails for only £18 so i ordered it immediately. I just love the oversized and angular frame.

Bought another pair of Louis Spikes. This time in FULL BLACK. Who doesn't love the shape of this sneaker! Even though it's perfect, i am thinking whether to keep or sell it...the sensible part of me is telling me not to keep 2 sneakers of the same design...should i ignore him?

My first Christian Louboutin

Finally, a pair of Loubi to my shoe collection...Ordered it from the boutique at Mount Street and the shipping was extremely fast. Shipped yesterday and delivered today. The sales people over there were really nice and the whole ordering process was quick and easy. I have nothing but compliments for the whole experience. However, do remember that only Amex is accepted for mail order.


What else could i have purchased apart from the Louis Spikes? The reason why i chose the suede version is because i hate having creases on calfskin or the other leather. Suede is just perfect, i don't have to worry about that. What i need to do is to avoid the rain or basically water.

Balmain Homme AW10 Leather effect biker jeans

Just received this in the mail yesterday! Now i have 2 pairs of Balmain biker jeans, a blue and black. Enough of Balmain jeans!

For the past few weeks, I was thinking real hard if i should buy it. The "pressure" is off FINALLY but i paid a premium for it because i got it from Japan. After getting the blue one, i know i wanted a black one. I missed buying the waxed version and also this leather effect one during the actual season so i search high and low for them. Then, i found it in a store in Japan but the pricing was so much higher than the retail price in Paris! Even though the price was reduced from ￥113,000 to ￥98,000, it is still very EXPENSIVE compared to €700! This particular biker jeans is one of the highly sought-after Balmain and coincidentally my size is one of the popular one. With the on going sale, i know i must decide real soon or it will be snapped up by someone else.

Balmain Homme SS11 Biker Jeans in blue

This pair of biker jeans came in the mail yesterday. I am pretty satisfied with the cut, quality, fabric and details. The only exception is the shade of the colour might be a little light for my liking but i will grow to like it! What i like most of the biker jeans is the ribbed parts and the chunky zippers! Who would thought of using leather jacket zippers on jeans. Genius.
