Isabel Marant Keni leather jacket

Again, all you need is a key item to bring out the whole look. In this case, it is the Isabel Marant Keni leather jacket. This collarless black crinkle-effect leather biker jacket features gunmetal hardware, push-stud fastening epaulets, concealed asymmetric fastening at front, long sleeves with zip-fastening cuffs, zip pockets at front, elbow patches and is fully lined in anthracite silk-satin. It's from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection so i am not sure if you can get it now. Below is model Karmen Pedaru wearing it.

Alt to mix and match

Emmanuelle Alt surely knows how to mix and match her clothes. Combined with several key items, see how she wore the same items with other outfit to achieve different looks.

(Dior Homme leather jacket, white t-shirt, black jeans, Isabel Marant belt, Hermes Collier de Chien bracelet)

Matching a loose Isabel Marant grey shirt with the black jeans and accessorizing with Balmain belt and Hermes Collier de Chien bracelet.

She mix and matches the same white jeans with the other tops such as the same Isabel Marant grey shirt that she once paired with the black jeans.

This is another example of the white jeans, Balmain belt and Hermes Collier de Chien bracelet combination.

If you notice, Emmanuelle Alt had a specific style in all her outfit. Rolled-up sleeves, folded hem and half tuck top. This shows that we don't need to have runway items from top to bottom to look nice. All we need is a good style.

Men’s Hair Style: The Quiff & How To Style It

I have been sporting a quiff for a long time now. I found this article below from fashionbeans which is really useful for perfecting the quiff.

The Quiff…The Daddy Of All Male Hairstyles

With the popularity of the QUIFF and many new men’s hair styles that look like they may need a little more than a quick towel dry, the time has come to hone your hair styling skills. After getting the cut, keeping the style looking right at home is crucial for this particular attention seeking hair style – and don’t worry because with practice it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes from start to finish.
Firstly you we need to kit yourself out with some electrical equipment. I’m not suggesting you rush out a buy the new iPad 2; I’m talking hair dryer, straighteners and in addition, a styling brush or two (see recommended products below).

Shorts with Blazer

I would love to achieve this particular look but the weather in Singapore is killing the idea. Jackets or any Outerwear is basically "prohibited" over here. I guess i can only dress up this way when i travel to another part of the world.

Electric Blue top with Chinos shorts is the way to go...

Emmanuelle Alt in Dior Homme

While searching for images of Emmanuelle Alt, i found some pictures of her wearing the same leather jacket that Hedi Slimane used to wear quite often. I think Alt carried it off pretty well, a rather relaxed look as compared to her usual Balmain. Notice how she folded her sleeves to achieve the cropped look. I am fortunate to own a custom-made version of this jacket.

Deal from Sale #5

I was in Hong Kong over the last weekend and the winter sale was still on. So i was hoping to find some good deals but this is the only sale item i got. Although the price was reduced from HKD1500 to HKD900 but i still find it a little expensive. After trying a Givenchy shirt, i decided to buy it together with this t-shirt. I missed buying the Balmain one so i bought this since i wanted a similar print...This t-shirt has a square cut and a baggy fit so i have to get a XS....

Shorts and Leggings

Leggings or tights have always been a part of Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy. Some may like it and some may not. Initially, i dislike the whole idea of men in leggings but after seeing real men pulling off this look, i started to appreciate the look. Afterall, it's just a layering style. Even though i like leggings but its limited to knee length leggings, just below the knee and not the entire leg. I find full length leggings a little ugly, in fact ridiculous. It make the man look like he is wearing a stocking, from the foot to the waist. For me, the legging must be same colour as the shorts, black shorts with black leggings, definitely no fanciful or elaborative designs that contrast the colour of the shorts. Just my thoughts......

Inspiring me #1

I really adore the cargo shorts with boots look. It really suit me in this hot and humid weather, i just can't wear slim or skinny bottoms without perspiring profusely. This is a pair of Balmain cargo shorts from the Spring Summer 2011 collection but who would actually pay €600 for a pair of cargo shorts? Yes, it is biker style with zippers and maybe waxed but it's still EXPENSIVE! I guess i will just look for an alternative brand...
