Trilby hat

I am looking for a trilby hat and these are what i have found. They are all from CA4LA, a japanese brand which is famous for their headwear. Unfortunately, they are not available here. I guess i would have to wait till i go to japan. Which one do you think is nice?

Comparison of a size 40 and 46

The picture below is a size 40 of the SS07 leather biker jacket. I found the picture from an auction. I don't mean to offend anyone but i think the jacket look rather cute and funny. It looks like the kids version of the jacket. It seems to be out of shape in comparison to a bigger size.

After a long wait, i finally received them. I would like to thank Issa for informing me about the availability of the SS07 jacket and not forgeting Taky and Bel who helped me with the purchase and shipping of the jacket. I would also like to thank Alan who got the AW07 jacket for me. Unfortunately, i have the sell the AW07 jacket because the size is not right for me.

As for the SS07 jacket, it is just perfect. The fit is awesome but the sleeves are kind of loose and long but overall, i love it. Finally, i've found the perfect leather jacket for me...

PARIS — Could Hedi Slimane end up back at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton?The men's wear star, who parted with Dior Homme in March, has renewed talks with LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault about the launch of a Hedi Slimane fashion house, industry sources said.

Sold my new leather jacket...

This is one of the other leather jacket that was featured on the Dior Homme AW06-07 campaign. Its is brandnew and i haven't even have a chance to wear but i've just sold it. I like the design but its not slim-fitting enough for me although i wear a size 46 for blazers. I guess i would have to size down when buying a leather jacket. Anyway, hope the new owner will like this more than me.

Hedi Slimane has a new photo exhibit, Perfect Stranger, at Galerie Almine Rech in Paris. Dean Mayo Davies caught up with the designer-photographer-philosopher-groupie—who defined the millennial zeitgeist for so many—to discuss his snappy ways, his post-Dior days and how the journey must, and will, continue. You heard it here first...

What's the concept of the new show? What can we expect?
It started with a commission from a Spanish contemporary art museum called MUSAC, together with indie-rock festival Benicàssim, which I documented extensively this year.

And the title, Perfect Stranger?
The recognition of a total stranger in a crowd—like a déjà vu, a movie close-up or the description of a character in a novel. I've spent my life documenting perfect strangers. It is also about the construction of an icon, the making of faith and the illusion of community—therefore, the illusion of the live performance and its promises.

Is curating a solo show more challenging than a group show, such as Sweet Bird of Youth?
I am not really into group shows, I have to say. I only did them because they were kindly proposed. They are only interesting to me when it is a full commission of new works, which is difficult to achieve, and there is the same level of commitment and consistency among the artists. Solo shows are more straight-forward. I can keep working on them until the last minute without any kind of personal issue.

I am pretty sick of DH tees. I guess i won't be spending that kind of money on a t-shirt anymore. So i went looking for some cheap tees and i found these...some nice and iconic tees...all music related. Maybe i will buy some of them....

A very well-detailed leather blouson. Epaulets on the shoulders, zips on the pocket and sleeves, a flap covering the zip at the front, pockets on the sleeves and a buckle at the bottom...a really nice leather blouson...

An iconic classic

If i can only have one blazer, this will be the one.

The classic one button satin peak lapel jacket.

It first appeared in 2004...but subsequently it became a classic piece and was available in almost every Hedi's collection.

I saw it at the new Dior Homme boutique in Hong Kong when i was there in August. The price was HKD18,400. I regretted not buying it but it was out of my budget anyway.

And finally, this is the camera that i bought...a Canon G9. The design is not attractive but there are a few reason why i chose this over the Panasonic and Leica. Most importantly, the ISO speed dial and the mode dial is on the external part of the camera. I can conveniently change the settings unlike the other 2 which i have to press several buttons to access it on the system. Furthermore, its has a control dial which works like a Ipod wheel. For the other better features are the 12megapixel sensor, 6X optical zoom, optional flash and the 3" LCD. The only thing that is not really good about it is the inaccurate viewfinder.
