I think it's overpriced ...
that and the fw09 horse leather is way too stiff in my opinion. i bought it and returned it. good fit tho.
the reissue for ss10 is supposedly made out of more supple leather. we'll see.

the leather already look stiff from the pics...i bet it is uncomfortable...
It's a real shame that the horse leather is so stiff. That was the deal breaker for me. I really like the zipper details/locations and the bottom belt buckles.
The other complaint I had was that the zipper slider hardware is a little small and not easy to pull on/manipulate. Might be a detail but when you're paying that kind of price you really want everything to be perfect.
i was wondering why they used Horse leather instead of others. Is horse leather better or more exclusive?
I have to agree that the zippers are small indeed. Perhaps they should have added a tassel to it...

it's sold out quickly everywhere except for a size 50 that i saw in paris a few days ago.

I don't think there's any more online stores carry it anymore. Antonioli had them, however they were sold out in 2 months.
You can try your luck in Yahoo Japan Auction, the price should be around 5000 USD.

God, Dior Homme's leather jacket (hedi era 03-05) were way much better in my opinion.
I have this in a size 50. When I bought it, the leather was so stiff. After a week it has become very supple. funny thing I was getting ready to return it after a day.Fit is great too. I have broad shoulders but the 50 fits great and gives a slim profile through the waist
I bought the spring version. I already had the horse version but the spring version is in lambskin. Really really soft and fits really great. Its more of a spring, early fall jacket for sure but the leather is amazing

I just bought this jacket on Ebay from a very reliable seller.
Now, I am a bit puzzled.
The leather isn't stiff at all; it is quite smooth, actually.
Are you sure the jacket is made of horse leather?
The inside tag says "100% lambskin/agneau".
On top of this, the washing instructions contain a typo: the French text contains the (English) word "specialist" instead of "spécialiste". Rather odd for a jacket that is "Made in France", isn't it?
