Favourite Runway Look Part3

Spring/Summer 2004
This is one of my favourite collection. I would say 2004 is the best year for Dior Homme. Both of the S/S and A/W collection are wonderful. I love the blazers, polo shirts, jeans and accessories of this collection. This collection has a few of the nicest jeans of all time, be it the destroyed jeans or Bleu Clair waxed jeans. The accessories are wonderful too.
Autumn/Winter 2004
This is another of my favourite collection. Everything is perfect. I love almost everything from this collection. Awesome blazers, shirts, jeans, shoes...basically everything. All the items are very wearable unlike some of the other collection. I am sure alot of people likes this collection as well.

I agree. VOTC is some of the best Dior homme. I personally prefer Reflection to Strip, but to each his own. I would kill for a size 48 of the tux blazer of VOTC, An Iconic Classic ;)

If anyone wants to get rid of theirs, I will buy it off their backs for top dollar.

i just bought a classic tuxedo blazer but i am not sure if we are talking about the same one but i will post a picture soon.

I'm talking about the one all the models wore at the end of VOTC. It was a one button tux blazer cropped short and with satin lapels. It was up in auction in Ebay last week and I was outbid in the last minute by 25 USD. I was so bummed.

yeah! That is what i just bought but it is not from VOTC. It is a classic piece which is available in most of the season. If you want, i can get one for you but the price is not cheap.

can you get one from strip, or a summer collection? what did you pay for yours?

Monsieur AG said...

i got it from this season. The cut and everything is the same as always...and i think its a good investment

Are you sure that the reissues are the same in cut and quality as the first version shown in VOTC? I really want the VOTC version but if the one you are talking about is the same in quality and cut, I guess it would be better because it would be new. I almost got the VOTC one for 1,600 USD (I was outbid on the last minute by 25USD). How much would the new version cost? Thanks

Please let me know how much the new version of the VOTC blazer costs. Thanks.

Monsieur AG said...

yes, its the same. Its a classic item so basically its the same cut for all season. Yeah, i knew about your bidding on ebay...it was discussed on the forum...anyway, its more than USD2000

In that case, I'm going to keep trying to get the VOTC version for a couple more months and if I can't get it I will let you know so we can arrange for buying the new version. Thanks for the info!

I want one too, but I'm thinking if I should just get them made from a good tailor. After all, its bespoke, which means it will fit you better than the ready to wear items from dior homme.

What you guys think?

I would rather get a DH one and alter it if needed.

How rare is the campaign blazer for Strip (the first picture you posted on your favorite looks)? I saw one listed in yahoo auctions japan today and I'm tempted to buy it. Its going for almost 4,000 grand, so if I bought it I would be totally broke for a while and probably would have to sell one of my Dior pieces. I would be able to afford it by the summer though. Should I wait? is it likely that the blazer is listed again before the end of the year?

Monsieur AG said...

Anything from this collection is rare...if you really like it, i would advise you to grab it. It is not easy to come by. Anyway, you might need to pay for more than 4000 for it because i am sure quite alot of people are targeting it...

i saw that too. im glad its a size 46 because at least i wont be tempted to bid on it since its too small for me;)

I just realized that it is too small for me (size 46 with small shoulders). Its a mixed blessing I guess, because now I really want it haha. Oh and so far I think it has been listed twice and no one has bid on it (starting bid is 3,500). I may be wrong, but so far no bids.

Strip blazers aren't fit smaller. I have the same cut with satin stripe. it's a 44P and it fits me perfectly. (pic 6), i'm a 44. Remind that Japanese seller always claims their DH fit smaller which is not true...they always stated it's amateur measurement.

Anonymous said...

just measured my 44P, it's 39cm shoulder, 45.5 chest and 65.5 sleeves, how can a 46 have the same measurements? hahah~ but you make me wanna wear my strip tux today~~hehe~~ already worn another strip tux yesterday~~my strip week?

Hey Issa,

Thank you so much for the info. I actually just bought the Strip tux. I figured that I might as well take the risk with the measurements and go for it. I figured that chances are that it's going to fit me just fine. If not, I don't think I'll have any trouble selling the strip campaign blazer.

hahahaha.....Issa thought the same way too...same minds thinks alike especially DH fans

what's really funny is that american and european vendors do the exact opposite of japanese vendors. They always tell you that the item fits a little larger than you actually think it does.

Monsieur AG said...

thats true...because the market is so different.
