As a child I remember getting up at 6am to watch fashion file to see the recaps. Still today many of his shows are permanently ingrained in my mind, and still influence my aesthetic to this day. Some of his shows gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes, and I’m not a person with a great reverence for art. Obviously I don’t know McQueen as a person, but as a designer he was enormous talent. Not only in the way he cut his clothes, but the overall production of all the little worlds he dreamed up.

Hey Alvin,

hate to post anything here that isn't a remembrance of a great designer, but I had quick question for you. How much do you think the Burberry Prorsum brown aviator jacket will retail for? Do you think it will go for more than 5,000 U.S. dollars? It's such a great piece. I just hope it doesn't go for something ridiculous like more than 7,000 dollars.

hmm...which season are u referring to? i haven't been paying any attention to Prorsum nowadays...

I'm referring to the Fall/Winter 2010-2011 collection. Here's a link to the jacket:

Really, you haven't being paying much attention to Prorsum? I thought that - along with Balmain- it was the one brand you were interested in the most these days.

aha...this one. I don't think it should be priced beyond 5000 but u know how crazy is Prorsum pricing...

Yeah, Prorsum can be crazy expensive, but they are not as bad as say, bottega veneta and their completely average looking, 7,000 USD leather jackets. My guess is that it will be between 5,000 and 6,000. I'll let you know when I find out for sure in a few months! By the way, how is the quality of the stud homme leather jacket you got?

Monsieur AG said...

thanks!

the quality of the jacket is not bad...the leather is softer than DH which i like but of course, the workmanship may not be as good as DH...

do you know how to order a jacket from Stud homme if you are located in Austria (Europe)?
