Many might consider this as the napoleon jacket from the AW07-08 collection...and many may wish for the jacket to come in black...
Here it is...this is the black version...
"YoYo, is this what you are looking for?"

i saw it at the boutique. i dont really like it in either color. the tabaco/brown colored one is not as cool as the runway version which had more redish and light brown tones in it. the one i saw in stores was much darker and the details on the arms felt cheap. looked more like a d&g piece to me altogether.
yeah...i can't agree more...
its not really that nice afterall, the worst part is that it is really bulky...it will make the person look like a bodybuilder or something...haha
i think it reminds me of TMNT
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles~!
damn, slimane using the plastic snap ons was just wrong, just wrong.
I found some of the comments quite harsh : of course the jacket seemed brighter since the ligths on the runway were intensely white and crude.
It is BTW quite the same thing for the trench coats that in reality are more greenish than on the lookbooks, on which they look beige.
As for the plastic buckles, I must say the design grew on me and in real life they have this kind of attractive look and feel imho.
Anyway, I'm very happy with this jacket!! (went for the tobacco version).
Philippe ;-)
Oh I forgot : go have a look at this very same jacket on Eluxury : you might rethink your position...
Not bulky at all, and really marvelous on the model!
Philippe
I don't agree on the comments that the jacket is bulky. I suppose one would have to be quite the sack of bones to feel like a bodybuilder in this jacket. And whoever said that this jacket looks like something D&G would make has very little knowledge of fashion and has clearly not seen the jacket in person. I'm always very amused by people who criticize Dior without actually having seen or worn a Dior piece before.
In any case, I own the jacket and I can vouch that the color is not tobacco as some here suggest, but it is actually the same as in the runway. You see, the darker color is meant to be worn out. The more you wear the jacket, the quicker the brown fades into a reddish, light brown.
well...first of all, everyone has a different opinion on everyting...and beauty lies in the eye of the beholder
Secondly, everyone here likes DH and definitely own many DH pieces. No one is criticizing DH and nobody should be critizing the other person's opinion without actually knowing the person...
I certainly agree that it is a very well detailed jacket but unfortunately its not for me...I hope the owners of this jacket can bring out the style and aesthetic of it... :)
its one of those either hate it or love it jacket, no in betweens. I agree that the picture in eluxury looks like the way its worn on the runway, while diabro's is like ????
But its sold out now at diabro. So i guess it does sell well after all!
i agree. If i were to choose, i would rather pick the black once...i think its nicer...but this is not my type of leather jacket...
is it safe to say that Phillippe bought this jacket in brown runway color? if so, do you mind taking some pics of it? Im curious how the final actual production comes out like.
well...he said he bought the tobacco one...maybe u can ask him for some pics
Hey Alex, yes I bought the jacket in brown.
I have pics of it : drop me your mail address.
Oh BTW, was that you who was interested in my cropped trench blouson? I'll put it on Ebay sometime soon I guess.

got the pics! congrats, Phillippe!! Looks good on you!
Thanks my man! ;-)
Philippe
Tried on the black jacket yesterday, I'm disappointed. Very hard to pull off and you won't be able to wear it more than a couple times
although i agree with you but i realize that some people who can actually pull it off...for example, the model on the runway
and I think Philippe looks good on it too! Maybe the black ones make it looks cheaper, Id prefer the brown ones after looking at those pics Philippe sent me!
