Some of the photos taken in Japan
This was taken at our favourite UDON restaurant. Their UDON is simply delicious, you wouldn't need any side dish. The name of the restaurent is 東京面團 and it is located in Shinjuku.

This is our favourite Sushi restaurant in Japan. They serve the freshest Sashimi as the salmon and tuna are only prepared when an order is made. Look closely and you will see the tanks where the fishes are kept...

man i have to go to japan...i start liking the SS07 leather, what size do you wear alvin? Only the sleeves look a bit large(i know i know, i dont wanna start the hole discussion from msn again...), is it possible to take them in?
honestly, you shouldn't go to Japan if you want to shop for high end stuffs. You should be able to tell from my purchases...Its more for the fun, culture and food...
I am wearing a size 46. Yes, i agree that the sleeves are alittle big...and i am thinking about altering it when i am have the chance...But thats not my priority as its not really a big problem...
Nice to see some photos of you wearing your Dior stuff, keep it comin'
yep, sleeves are too loose and too long
omg sleeves are quite ugly...
Thanks Mister S
i will post more of my pics...
yeah...its kinda loose but it fine for me...
i agree that its kinda long and i am thinking of altering it already...
maybe u would like to take a look at Hedi wearing his leather jacket...they are long for him too
Yes, it's too long for Hedi too, because it is supposed to be worn so.
But sleeves are very very slim (i mean - Hedis jacket).
It's perhaps a little too big for you.
You should perhaps try a size 44
nah....44 will be too small for me...i would like to wear a sweater beneath when needed...
i am thinking about buyint this jacket, so i have a question. There are a lot of pockets on the sleeves. is there a seam running on the inner side of the arm from the armhole to the cuffs where it can be made tighter? I think thats more a prob then the length.
If it can be modified so that the sleeves are tighter then maybe i would go for the jacket. Looks great though on you!
oh BTW, could you post some pics wearing the jacket with a shirt under it and the zippers closed?
thanks man!
thanks for the compliments
yeah...there is seam running along the inner side of the seams...altering it slimmer would not be a problem...
You should get this jacket! I am loving it...
(i will try to post a pic of me wearing the jacket with a shirt soon)
oh by the way, i am thinking of removing the pockets on the sleeves if i am making it tighter
the reason is that the sleeves will become rather stiff when it is altered slimmer...
just my thoughts...
i get your thought. The pockets and zips on the cuffs are quite stiff so it doesnt move at all. Unlike when there is a flexible stretch cuff it wouldnt move at all when the sleeves are made tighter. Hmmm, i didnt think about that, but you are unfortunately right. That could be a problem. But how is the runway jacket made? It also has the pockets on the cuffs but it is supertight... how does that wotk?
hi theaddict,
i used to have this in 44, the sleeves are much tighter, becoz i tried both 44 and 46 in shop. the sleeves is still long, but shortedfor 1-2cm, i guess. the problem i had was, the leather is stiff, so when u bend ur arms, for e.g., talking on phone, u can keep the same pose more than 10 mins. u will feel like ur arm is going to break into 2 piece. of course u can take the 46 in to be 44 sleeves, but....if it is a washed leather, it'll be more practical...but washed leather is not suitable for this style...quite dilemma~however, i found it's better after 10-15 times break-in, but the sleeves pockets will have a curve shape. so if u buy this jacket, have a mind that it really needs break-in.
btw, my leto leather has been arrived~~yohoo~
nice jacket
it really suits you...
do you mind me asking how much it was ??
yeah...what Issa is correct, you will need to break into the jacket. This is why i wore the jacket everyday in Japan. Its very comfortable after it break in.
Talking about the runway version, i am sure the model is having a hard time bending his arms. My personal opinion is to alter the sleeves slimmer but not too tight as slim is good enough. There is no reason to make it tight like what the recent craze on msn group is about.
*Clothes are to make u look good....not to make you uncomfortable ;)
thanks alot...i think the price was about 3000usd...don't really remember
hey thanks for the info.
I know that there are washed and non washed jeans, can someone tell me the difference between washed/unwashed leathers? This is a nonwashed leather? So it is not flexible?
I guess the runway model didnt have to bend his arms at all on the runway, so that issued was not a convern for them...
Regarding your statement alvin:"clothes are made to...", i know a guy here in cologne who owns a special shop which stocks Carol Christian Poell, Volga Volga and other hard to come by stuff. He works also as a desginer and claims to know all the big names (incl. KVA!), he is about 50years old and has a craaaazy high class clochard style. His statement about the same topic is: "clothes must not fit in a regular way, they have to be either too big or too small, normal is boring and not fashion, it is for those Gucci, Prada wearing establishment." So i guess there are two perspectives for this matter. I am something in between :)
basically, non washed leather are stiffer while washed leather are softer. For the 4 pocket jacket from AW07, its washed leather. I am quite sure that all SS07 leather jackets are non washed leather.
Well...regarding the statement...its just all about personal preferences. If a person wanna look "special", he or she would dress in a very different way. For expample, wearing super loose clothes or even ultra-tight clothes. For me, i just wanna look good in the most comfortable way...so its different...
All this shite about the sleeves on dior homme jackets has gotten waaaay ridiculous. You look great in your jacket--I wouldn't worry about what anyone else says.
no, he doesn't look great, the jacket is too big, especially the sleeves, sorry guy ...
man, is that you diorfou? From the style you write i would definitely say its you.
Anyway, Alvin, what is that for a blue jeans again? Is it Hedis under my car? Looks good to me.
BTW, Would you mind to tell me what your weight is and how tall you are? Just for a reference in respect to the leather.
thank you, Biff
i don't really care about what the others say...
thanks once again...
DIORFOU!! STAY AWAY FROM MY BLOG
if you don't like anything here, just don't visit again...
i seriously don't understand why u kept visiting my blog when u hate it
yeah, its so obvious that he is DIORFOU
which pic are you referring to? i did wore the UMC jeans and also jake jeans when i was in Japan... :)
I am about 175cm and 62~65kg(could be heavier to the good food in Japan...HAHAHA)...but people usually my height and weight wears 44...i guess my shoulders are broad...
I must admit that i like this blog, because pics are good and feedbacks and comments are sometimes interesting.
but i'm too proud to admit that i like it ...
and don't forget: piou piou piou
I knew it :)
Diorfou, i am still waiting for a pic of your leathers. As you are a so called expert on this particular field, did you see Alvins jacket as a proto version?
Could you at least post pics of yours?
Alvin, ok the ones with the hole in the front are the UMC, i was a bit concerned because they are MII, could you do me a favor and tell me the exact hem size?
Thanks in advance
Dear Diorfou
I am glad that you like my blog. You are more than welcome to give your comments but please make sure that your comments are sensible...
I would rather make a friend than making an enemy
both of the UMC and Jake have holes at the knees...don't worry about MII, its not an issue since the hem of the UMC is 17.4" to be exact
Another thing is that i preferred MII to MIJ...they fit me better because of the shorter crouch
Ok, and what size do you wear in the jakes? I remember that i tried them in 29 and almost exploded because it was so tight. I normally wear 28 in washed and 27 in raw denim.
Did you size up for the jakes?
Dear Alvin, ok.
I saw your Burberry pics. The black jacket on the pic number 4 is great (a leather version would be great too).
Good night - Diorfou
thats weird...i am wearing 29 for the jakes but i definitely can't fit into a 27 in raw denim...
29 is my usual size but i actually sized down for the UMC because i wanted a shorter crouch and slimmer look
yeah...the black jacket is nice but unfortunately there is no leather version...
